Sou o Martim Leitão, fotógrafo freelancer, a viver e trabalhar na região de Lisboa. Comecei a fotografar em 2019 e, em 2024, ingressei no Instituto Português de Fotografia (IPF), onde me formei e aprofundei a minha prática, conhecendo novas abordagens em diferentes áreas da fotografia.
O meu trabalho desenvolve-se entre o fotojornalismo, a fotografia documental e o retrato. Interessa-me fotografar pessoas, lugares e situações que me permitam conhecer realidades. Fotografar é, para mim, uma forma de compreender, aprender e preservar histórias.
Em 2026, fui selecionado para a Exposição Internacional de Fotografia em Portugal, promovida pela Associação de Fotografia Portugal-China.
Paralelamente aos meus projetos autorais e documentais, colaboro com instituições, eventos desportivos e marcas em trabalhos comerciais. Ao longo do meu percurso, desenvolvi trabalhos para entidades como a Junta de freguesia da Penha de França, a Associação Naval de Lisboa e a Fidelidade Companhia de Seguros.

I’m Martim Leitão, a freelance photographer born in 2001, based and working in the Lisbon area. I began photographing in 2019 and, in 2024, enrolled at the Instituto Português de Fotografia (IPF), where I completed my training and developed my practice, exploring new approaches across different areas of photography.
My work spans through photojournalism, documentary photography, and portraiture. I’m interested in photographing people, places, and situations that allow me to encounter and understand different realities. For me, photography is a way of understanding, learning, and preserving moments, relationships, and stories.
In 2026, I was selected for the International Photography Exhibition in Portugal, promoted by the Portugal-China Photography Association.
Alongside my personal and documentary projects, I collaborate with institutions, sporting events, and brands on commercial work. Over the course of my career, I have worked with organisations such as Junta de freguesia da Penha de França, Associação Naval de Lisboa, and Fidelidade Companhia de Seguros.
